Recently the young talent Kai Hing spent some time tuning his style in the notorious 808. Guided by Barton Lynch, Kai got the chance to experiance some quality waves alongside Jake Fissenden James Young and Harry Bryant. Here are a few picks of the the trip in March.

Bali Baguuuus

In late December our team riders Thom Stubbs, Matt Johnson, Zack Starrett and Tyler Hing ventured to Bali in search of waves and cheap accommodation. Along their travels the boys found themselves surrounded by 3 to 6 foot Indo swells and were also swallowed whole by the schoolies scene. Kids Wear Fur

On a cold winters night Team riders Zack Starrett And Matt Johnson headed to Maroochydore to check out some fashion at the Kids Wear Fur feature night. The boys found themselves surounded by models and high fashion brand names such as Jamie Fame. As the night progressed, dance moves were thrown down and the boys cut loose. Originally shaped as a 5'3" for Shane’s young son Noah by former ...Lost shaper and pro surfer Noah Budroe. The board features a wide forward outline with round forgiving rails, flat deck and a wide “rocket” tail. The rocker is extremely low in the entry, for instant speed, with an exaggerated kick in the tail for tight arcs out of turns. A small to average wave all-rounder that can be effectively ridden 4" to 6" shorter, 1/8" thinner, and just slightly wider than your normal short board without sacrificing any carve or drive. This pro light board is lighter than any other board, giving more flex with pop, making it super responsive, fast and loose. Made as a fixed fin board to keep its weight down. This board is made for the rider who wants a board to go good first surf.. Can be ridden 1-2 inches smaller then a normal board, 1/8 wider through the tail and 1/8-1/4 thicker. You will love it.

JS BLAK BOX SESSIONS

Bubs, Parko and friends spent 3 days camping and surfing a secret spot not far from the Sunshine Coast, riding the new addition to the JS range The Blak Box. Watching the worlds best surfers and riding this new addition to the JS range, we are sure with one of these new performance small wave boards in your quiver you will not be disappointed. BLAK BOX offers a fuller curvy outline with a higher and more defined hip pulled from the fins into a nice straight directional tail curve through to the wider tail pod. JS has spent a lot of time on this model combining old school outlines with the latest bottom curves showcasing plenty of detail. Once again Jason has come through with another house favourite amongst the JS pro team for smaller waves. The entry is super flat with a double scoop concave under the chest leading into relatively deeper double concave between the fins and single concave exit out through the wider tail. The deck is flat giving the board an overall feeling of extra forgiveness allowing you to ride this board thinner than a normal performance board. You will find this board fast in flat sections because extra foam has been left under your chest and front foot. Ride this board 3-4 inches shorter than normal.
